The main frame, front and rear stabilisers, seat post, handlebars and pedals need fitting in the correct order. Bolts should be tightened evenly and to the required level, without overtightening threads or crushing plastic covers. Floor protection can matter as much as assembly. A suitable mat can help protect carpets and hard flooring from sweat, marks and movement, while also reducing vibration. It depends on the bike’s weight and the floor beneath it, but it is worth deciding before the bike is in position.
